The Dorchester Family YMCA Child Care Programs are licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care, and is nationally accredited and validated every three years by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs (NAEYC).
Our innovative program "Linking Hands" provides families a stimulating environment for younger and older toddlers and preschool children. We offer special attention to the adult-child ratios, small group sizes, creative classrooms, and caregivers with specialized training.
We believe positive experiences in the early years of a child's life is the foundation for a rewarding, productive, and healthy life. At the program each child and their families are recognized and supported as a unique individual.
Our program provides children with a wide variety of materials and activities to explore, discover, question and learn. We believe open communication with families is a major influence in the quality of the child's overall experience. We encourage and welcome family engagement in all program activities.
Our program is open year round except for the major holidays and days selected by the YMCA of Greater Boston.
Program Components
- Pre-Kindergarten Classroom
- AM/PM Family Engagement Circles
- For ages 15 months - 5 years old
- 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (9:30 a.m. Cut Off)
