Whether it’s creating a college bound culture for a first generation high school junior, helping unemployed men and women acquire the skills to realize a successful career, or encouraging seniors to stay physically active with regular exercise, the YMCA is remains dedicated to the communities we serve.

Your support helps the Y deliver on our commitment:

  • To nurture the potential of youth through building confidence at camp, academic enrichment in safe afterschool programs, or foundational skills and values in our child care programs
  • To improve the health and well-being of the greater Boston area through combating obesity and chronic disease by providing the support and resources people need to make positive change
  • To give back and support our neighbors by empowering people with the resources to improve their lives and connect and contribute to the community, such as with job training, housing, newcomer services and opportunities to advocate for social change
  • To offer programs and services to children, adults and families who need financial assistance

Imagine what your gift will do:

  • $100 teaches a child life saving swimming skills through a series of lessons.

  • $250 enrolls a child in a YMCA youth fitness program which will reduce the risk of childhood obesity and diabetes (already affecting 20% of today's youth.)

  • $500 provides 60 hours of intensive English as a Second Language instruction for a new American before s/he begins a job training program.

  • $750 enrolls two high school students in our College Path program, which provides SAT preparation and college application assistance.

  • $1,000 gives 10 at-risk teens a one year membership to the YMCA, providing them with a safe place to productively spend their out-of-school hours.

  • $2,500 sponsors two campers for a two week session at the YMCA's resident camps in New Hampshire.

  • $5,000 supports two working families with one month of quality child care.
