Annual Fund
Support the Annual Reach Out Campaign - Strengthen Your Community

Your support is necessary to fund many of the Y programs and services that families that are in need use every day. Together we can ensure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn grow and thrive in a YMCA program.
For nearly 100 years, the Huntington Avenue YMCA has been a lifeline for local families. Last year, the Y provided more than $400,000 in scholarships and financial assistance to families in need. More than 90 percent of the 429 children in our afterschool enrichment programs receive some form of financial assistance.
We Need Your Help
Every day, kids and families in our community are faced with tough choices. Pay the bills, or pay for afterschool care. Go to work, or stay home because they cannot find safe, affordable camp programs during school vacation. Stay in school, or lose sight of a future that seems unattainable. The good news is, thanks to your generosity, the Huntington Avenue YMCA is helping to make sure that local families will not have to make those choices.
How your contribution positively affects people's lives:
This summer, 120 children like Torry will participate in YMCA summer camp, Torry has been attending the YMCA camp for the past 8 years. He enjoys all the great activities including dodgeball and basketball. Torry also enjoys fieldtrips especially the boat ride to George’s Island. He participates in arts and crafts and has made sculptures and enjoys painting. Torry also likes the counselors, Leslie, Sean and Sally. Torry can’t wait for summer to come!
Each year, the Huntington Avenue YMCA must raise money to support the vital programs and services offered in this community. Every dollar raised through the annual Reach Out campaign stays at our YMCA helping local families.
While programs may develop in one neighborhood, the strength of the Y is that we leverage great programs and take those to other communities that then benefit. Again, at the Y, no child, family or adult is turned away due to an inability to pay full fees. We recognize that for communities to succeed, everyone must be given the opportunity to be healthy confident, connected and secure. We can only make that promise through the support of our donors to the Y’s Annual Fund.
Your gift to the Y’s Annual Fund is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
