The Huntington Ave. YMCA is dedicated to improving the health of mind, body, and spirit of individuals and families in our communities. We welcome men and women, boys and girls of all incomes, faiths and cultures.
About Us
The Huntington Avenue YMCA is proud to be part of the YMCA of Greater Boston, the largest provider of social services in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. As the first Y in America, the Huntington Ave. YMCA has been focused on promoting youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility in the Greater Boston communities since President Taft laid the cornerstone in 1912.
Since then, the Huntington Ave. YMCA has evolved with its community and now features a state-of-the-art fitness center, in addition to Out of School Time & teen programs. Furthermore, the Families in Transition program assists families in need with emergency shelter and services and a strategic way of providing affordable and permanent housing. At this time, the Huntington Ave YMCA has an awesome opportunity to re-build a Y that will use the teachings and traditions of the past to create a new and refreshed approach increase our impact in serve youth, adults, seniors and families in our community.
