Support the Annual Reach Out Campaign - Strengthen Your Community
Your support is necessary to fund many of the Y programs and services that families that are in need use every day. Together we can ensure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn grow and thrive in a YMCA program.
Each year, the Hyde Park YMCA conducts a Reach Out campaign to help raise money for financial scholarships to be given to area kids, teens and adult members. These scholarships are used for day care, after school care, swim lessons, youth sports, summer camp and health and wellness programs.
The Reach Out campaign allows the YMCA to keep its promise to everyone and never turns an individual or family away because of their inability to pay full price for a program, activity or service.

For 2010 the Hyde Park YMCA gave out $220,000 in financial assistance. We will award more than $300,000 in scholarships by the end of the year, mostly to support local families with their child care needs. -
With their help, last year alone, the YMCA was able to impact over 1,000 kids, families, and individuals of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. YMCA donors change, improve and even save lives through the support they give the Hyde Park YMCA during Reach Out.
While programs may develop in one neighborhood, the strength of the Y is that we leverage great programs and take those to other communities that then benefit. Again, at the Y, no child, family or adult is turned away due to an inability to pay full fees. We recognize that for communities to succeed, everyone must be given the opportunity to be healthy confident, connected and secure. We can only make that promise through the support of our donors to the Y’s Annual Fund.
