Bridge to Opportunity
This is a transitional English class for Boston residents.
Bridge to Opportunity is offered in 18-week sessions 2 times a year.
Students in the Bridge class must:

Be a Boston resident

Have a goal leading to college, skills training or employment

Have a high intermediate or advanced level of English

Be committed to good attendance and fulfilling course requirements
Bridge students focus on building vocabulary, note-taking, writing, and study skills. Students develop learning plans and portfolios. The class includes ESOL instruction, learning and test-taking strategies, help with researching jobs, information about skills training, college admission requirements and financial aid. Three periods for self-assessment give students an opportunity to target strengths and areas for improvement.
SESSION TIMES
This class is offered in 18-week sessions two times a year, in the evenings from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Classes begin in September.
SESSION COSTS
This class is offered at no charge for those who qualify and is funded by the Mayor's Office, English for New Bostonians.
