Camp Counselors & Directors

The YMCA of Greater Boston is hiring summer camp counselors and lifeguards - NOW!

The YMCA of Greater Boston offers great day camps throughout Boston and its suburbs as well as residential camps on Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire every summer.  The camps have diverse offerings and are  always looking for talented people who bring a passion for teaching, coaching, caring for and mentoring children from all backgrounds and communities.

At minimum, camp counselors must have the following:

• at least 3 positive professional or educational references
• maturity, a commitment to the safety of children, and enthusiasm!

Special skills sought include such things as:

• experience working with children in an educational or youth services setting
• experience with youth sports programming or coaching
• experience and enthusiasm for such specialty areas as arts, photography, crafts or theatre
• specific skills such as archery, rope-course work and dance for children
• experience in special education
• a 7D drivers license for driving a passenger van
