Work schedule (days of week and approximate hours): Hours available are Sunday 1-6:30 PM, Monday 5:30 - 9:30 AM and 6-10:00 PM, Tuesday 5:30 - 9:30 AM, Wednesday 5:30 - 9:30 AM, Thursday 5:30 - 9:30 AM and 4 - 10:00 PM, Friday 6-10:00 PM, Saturday 7-9 AM and 2 - 6:30 PM
The Oak Square YMCA has two pools and requires two guards. Staff member works as part of a team and monthly staff meetings and in service training required. Join team and work in a State of the Art facility. We are fully accessible to all. We are a low chlorine ionization aquatic center.
Qualities needed for this position are:
- Candidate needs to be dependable and flexible.
- Have skills in accident prevention, decision making, and rescue in order to ensure a safe environment for members.
Required qualifications and/or certifications needed for this position are:
- Life Guard Certified, and be willing to cross over to YMCA On the Guard II Life guarding within 90 days or first available course.
- Hold current certifications in Standard First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
