Roxbury - Head Lifeguard
The Roxbury YMCA is looking for a Head Lifeguard with strong ability to train and supervise. Under the Supervison of the Aquatics Coordinator the Head Lifeguard is responsible for the recruitment, direct supervision and training of the lifeguards. Assist the Aquatics Coordinator in facility management. The position requires the individual to work Mon-Tu-Wed-Fri from 3-9pm and Saturdays 9am-3pm.
The Head lifeguard will be teaching swim lessons for at least of 10hrs in addition of 10hrs of direct lifeguarding service. He/She will be responsible for the upkeep of the pool on regards to facility cleanliness and pool maintenance.
Required Qualifications:
At leas two years of Supervisory and Management experience. Applicants must have a current certification in Lifeguard Training, CPR, AED, First Aid, CPO and Water Safety Instructor. A certification as a Lifeguard Instructor is a plus.
