Waltham - Day Camp Counselor, full time, summer
The YMCA of Greater Boston offers great day camps throughout Boston and its suburbs. The camps have diverse offerings and are always looking for talented people who bring a passion for teaching, coaching, caring for and mentoring children from all backgrounds and communities.
At minimum, camp counselors must have the following:
- at least 3 positive professional or educational references
- maturity and a commitment to the safety of children
- the ability and willingness to work the entire season
- be over the age of 18 (some camps have limited positions for persons age 16 or over)
- enthusiasm!
Special skills sought include such things as:
- experience working with children in an educational or youth services setting
- youth coaching experience
- specialty knowledge in dance, theartre, the creative arts
- archery, rope course or rock climbing experience
- a 7D drivers license for driving a passenger van
- swim instruction and/or lifeguarding experience
