Work at the Y

Parent Information

How parents/guardians can help?

What we would ask of parents/guardians is to please read the section what is iPLAY which will explain the goals of the program. Once you are aware of the goals the iPLAY program is trying to achieve in the YMCA After School programs/ Summer Camps is to assist us in reaching these goals. Several things that would help us is by not allowing your child/children to bring Nintendo DS to the program; if you provide a snack/lunch for your child we would ask that you follow the same standards we have listed; encourage your child to participate in physical activity at the YMCA and at home; and one last thing - we would really like to get the parents more involved in the program. To get the parents involved we would like to hear from them what the best means of communication for you would be (Email, handout, meetings, news letters, etc.)
