Corporate & Foundation Giving
By giving to YMCA Training, Inc., you are…
Affirming your commitment in our community: Giving to YMCA Training, Inc. helps maintain your company’s image as a socially responsible organization. Customers and shareholders expect businesses to give back to their communities. Investment in a trainee at YMCA Training, Inc. is a powerful way to do so.
Fulfilling both individual and business needs: Our program puts unemployed individuals on the path to self-sufficiency. Skills training allows businesses to tap into committed, diverse talent, well-versed in the latest office and computer skills.
Directly helping a job seeker in need of skills: Nearly 90 cents of every dollar donated to the YMCA of Greater Boston and YMCA Training, Inc. goes directly to support programs and services, not administrative costs.
Investing in the future of our region: By helping men and women get out of poverty and move into careers, YMCA Training, Inc. greatly reduces public spending and increases tax revenue. It costs less than $9000 to train one adult and the returns are extraordinary. In 2010, graduates earned $90 million and paid $23 million in taxes.
Supporting a worthy cause with measurable results: We are the best job training program in Boston and our numbers show it. For the little amount that it takes to sponsor a trainee, we see impressive gains. 80% of our graduates find full-time jobs and a full 90% of these jobs include health insurance and benefits.
