You can contribute an appreciated security that you have owned for more than one year to the YMCA of Greater Boston.  100% of your gift can be designated to the Wang YMCA.  You will receive a charitable income tax deduction for its full market value and avoid capital gains tax on the increase in value of the stock since you purchased it.  Please email Mary O'Leary or call her at 617-927-8149 to learn more about the benefits of donating stock.

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees.
