Karen Swanson
Karen Sawnson is nationally certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE), National Exercise & Sports Association (NESTA) and the YMCA. Karen has been a personal trainer for over 10 years and involved in fitness for over 13 years. Specializing in women's fitness Karen is also certified in breast cancer survivor fitness through the nationally recognized "YMCA Pink Program". In addition to women's fitness Karen provides sport specific personal training to athletes. As a North Suburban YMCA personal trainer Karen strives to provide her clients with one-on-one support through encouragement, motivation and knowledge. Karen looks forward to providing you with a wellness program that helps you achieve your fitness goals and a healthier lifestyle.

Jay Harvey
Jay Harvey has been with the YMCA for 13 years and a personal trainer for 15 years. With over 120,000 hours of personal training appointments Jay has worked with a wide range of clients from marathon runners, to active older adults over 70 years old, to moms that are looking to lose those last 10 pounds. Jay is certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Jay's personal training philosophy is that every client is different and nobody should received the same personal training session. Jay always encourages a positive attitude and a focus on what you can do not what you can't do.
